Mandana Salari was a first-grade teacher at Shajareh Tayyebeh School. She was 29 years old. On the day of the attack, she was killed in Minab together with her two children, Ali and Mahya Salari. At the moment of the explosion, Mandana was holding four students, her son and daughter Liana Mohammadi in her arms at the time of the explosion; they were all killed under the rubble.
When Mandana’s body was found, she was bent forward, her arms open as if she had tried to gather the children into one last protective embrace. She was not only a teacher in that moment. She was a mother, both to her own children and to the students before her. Her final posture told a story that no official statement can erase: even as death came from the sky, she tried to become shelter.
Mandana Salari died with her children, but she also left behind an image of love stronger than fear: a teacher whose last instinct was not to run, but to protect.
