Arina Arabkish Chelouei was a sixth-grade student at Shajareh Tayyebeh School. She was also a Taekwondo athlete, a holder of the Poom 1 belt, and a dedicated student of Master Bahar Mobedi.
Arina shone not only in the classroom, but also in Taekwondo. Her love for the sport was so strong that she traveled from Minab to Bandar Abbas (100km away) for her training sessions, each time with eagerness, discipline, and the dream of becoming a champion. She was often among the medal winners in competitions, and her talent and perseverance were known to those around her.
Her handwritten notes revealed the depth of her mind. She wrote of thinking big, of positive thinking, of willpower, and of championship. In her training, she did not imagine only herself; she pictured hundreds of others in different cities and used mental visualization to strengthen her techniques. Arina was a child who had already learned to dream with discipline.
But grief came twice to the Arabkish family. Ali, Arina’s younger brother and a fifth-grade student at the same school, was also killed in the attack. He did not follow the path of Taekwondo as his sister did, but he shared her home, her school, and finally her fate.
Arina and Ali were taken from a place that should have protected childhood, learning, and growth. One was already walking the path of championship; the other was still quietly growing beside her. Together, they became part of the wound of Minab: two children from one family, two lives burned by war, two names that will remain.
