War Crime in Minab

Chapter 8

What Their Hands Left Behind: Drawings by the Children of Minab

Before the missiles, there were coloured pencils.

On these pages the sun still has a face. A house stands under blue clouds with hearts drawn on its walls. A yellow school bus waits with its stop sign out. A candle burns above a science lesson, a globe has been carefully coloured in blue and green, and a rainbow bends across the page as if nothing in the world could ever break it.

These drawings were made by the children of Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab, children whose lives were taken in the attack of 28 February 2026. They were sent to us, and we share them here as we received them. We do not know which child made each drawing, and we will not guess.

Look at them slowly. Every line on these pages was drawn by a small hand that should still be drawing today.
