Sobhan Shahdadi was a first-grade student.
His father, Asghar Shahdadi, says:
“Sobhan was my friend. He would say to me, ‘Asghar, my buddy, shall we go out?’
I would tell him, ‘Do not call me Asghar in front of people. Say Daddy.’
But he would say, ‘No, buddy. It is so cool!’”
His father says, with a lump in his throat:
“I am still waiting for him to ring the bell and say, ‘Daddy, Mommy, open the door. Sobhan is coming.’”
He says:
“I will never forget the way he called me Asghar, not until the Day of Judgment. The way he would say ‘yes, sir’—I can never forget it.
I thank God that he had a blessed ending. I thank God that he was martyred alongside our Leader.”
