Setayesh Alihoseini was a fourth-grade student.
Masoumeh Mehran Sheikhabadi, Setayesh’s mother, says:
“One week before her martyrdom, we were sitting in front of the television when they showed our Supreme Leader. Setayesh said, ‘Mommy, next week they are going to take me to our Leader, Mr. Khamenei.’
I said, ‘My dear, not without me. If they take children, they have to take them with their parents.’
She said, ‘No. Only the teachers, the students, and the principal are going together. They will not allow you to come.’
I said, ‘No, I cannot bear it without you, my child.’ Setayesh was such an innocent girl, and I could not bear being without her. I was always worried about her.
She repeated, ‘Only students and teachers.’
I laughed and said, ‘No, and I will not allow it either.’
She said, ‘Mom, I am going.’
This discussion was repeated several times, and finally I said, ‘How could they take a child this age without her parents?’ I kept wondering whether she was serious or not.
That night, when her sister came home, I said, ‘She says she is going on a school trip to Tehran to see Mr. Khamenei.’
Her sister asked, ‘Alone?’
Setayesh said, ‘They will take me, Mom!.’
On Saturday, when this happened, they first said Setayesh had not been martyred and was hospitalized. I said, ‘If she has not been martyred, why don’t you take me to the hospital so I can see her?
I went to the hospital, and there they told me she had been martyred. I was devastated.
Later, the news came that Mr. Khamenei had also been martyred. Then I remembered Setayesh’s words. I said, ‘My child, it had been inspired to you that you were going to go with the Leader.’
Setayesh’s words keep coming back to my mind. I feel it had been revealed to her.”
