Until the final moments, she did not stop trying to save her students. In the terror of the attack, while the school was falling into ruin, she remained with the children and kept trying to protect their lives.
In the end, Ensieh Karimi was killed together with her two children.

In this deeply painful war crime, the family of Mr. Yousef Karimi was left in mourning. Two of his children, Mrs. Elham Karimi, the school deputy, and Mrs. Ensieh Karimi, a teacher at the school, were martyred together with two of his grandchildren: martyr Sepehr Karimi, a fourth-grade student and his grandson through his son, and martyr Hananeh Zakeri Khahan, a first-grade student, his granddaughter through his daughter and the child of martyr Elham Karimi.
All of them could have left the school and saved their lives when they heard that the school was closing and that there was a danger of attack. But they stayed beside the students until all the children could be handed over to their parents.
