Danial Faghirdoust was ten years old and a fifth-grade student.
Alongside Ali Akbar and Mohammad Ali Keryni Pak (two brothers), Danial was one of three players from Khalij-e Fars Football School who can no longer return to the field.
Reza Naseri, the director of Khalij-e Fars Football School in Minab, said about Danial that he had great passion and eagerness to learn the basic principles of football, and that he took part in training sessions with remarkable motivation.
Danial’s father says:
“That morning, I was at work in Bandar Abbas (100km away) when my wife called and said they had hit the school. I immediately left for Minab. On the way, I kept calling the school, but no one answered.
I do not even know how I drove on that road. I was not aware of the road, the cars, or anything around me. It was only me, my tears, and my cries. I understood nothing.
When I reached the school, I realized that the place where Danial’s classroom was located, had been struck by a missile.”
He says that we must win this war, whatever it takes, and avenge the blood of their children.
