Amirhossein Jafari Ravangi

Amirhossein Jafari Ravangi was a fourth-grade student.

Amirhossein loved football deeply and was a passionate supporter of Persepolis. He always wanted to wear the Persepolis jersey. He dreamed of meeting the players up close one day. But all those wishes remained buried under the rubble of the school in Minab.

His uncle says:

“The only thing we found from his small ten-year-old body was one shinbone. We recognized it by his sports sock.”

What remains of Amirhossein is the image of a child with football in his heart: a boy who loved his team, dreamed of its players, and should have grown up with the joy of stadiums, jerseys, and matches.

Instead, his family was left with one unbearable sign—a sports sock by which they recognized what remained of their son.
