Motahareh Ahmadzadeh was a fourth-grade student. She wanted to become “a doctor for children.”
Masoumeh Zakeri, the mother of martyr Motahareh Ahmadzadeh, says:
“Motahareh was nine and a half years old when she was martyred. She was always with me and her father. At home and at school, she was a loving, active, and kind girl. She quickly became friends with everyone and was close to them. She helped everyone, even students who were not her classmates.
On the morning of the incident, my daughter Motahareh had put on her clothes herself and went to school without saying goodbye. Our last meeting was at suhoor, around four in the morning. According to her father, he only heard the sound of the house door when Motahareh left home and got into the school transport.
The day of the incident was a very hard scene. All the mothers were crying, and we kept saying that Shajareh Tayyebeh School had become Karbala that day. Even as the martyrs were being pulled out from under the rubble, I still hoped Motahareh would call me from the other side and come toward me.
That same afternoon, we were supposed to go together to buy clothes for Nowruz.
She never felt tired for any program. She took part in national and religious ceremonies, Quran sessions, and school events across the city, and she always prepared herself to attend. In her own words, she would always say, ‘In the future, I want to become a doctor for children.’ She loved children very much. She said, ‘I want to treat the sick children.’
A few days ago, while I was cleaning my daughter’s closet, I found a cut piece of paper that no one had seen before. On it, she had written: ‘I want to become a Korean language teacher.’ She used to ask me about different foreign languages, but she had never said this before.”
Motahareh had memorized part of the Holy Quran. Her mother says that a creative environment had been formed at the school, and the children never felt tired there.
“Now that they are gone from among us, we understand what angels we lost.
Motahareh always asked about the meaning of her own name, and I would explain it to her fully. On the last night she was with us, she spoke about how she wanted her birthday celebration to be held the following year. She said all her friends had to be there. She talked and played with her father until one in the morning, then went to bed to rest, and later woke up for suhoor.”
Motahareh’s mother says that Donald Trump and Netanyahu must be punished and brought to justice for their actions.
“The blood of the martyred Leader and the children and teenagers of our country must not be trampled upon. Donald Trump must face a military trial for committing this crime. What sin had this school and these students committed, that they were attacked?”
