Ali Arabkish Chelouei was a fifth-grade student at Shajareh Tayyebeh School.
Grief came twice to the Arabkish family. Ali’s older sister, Arina Arabkish Chelouei, a sixth-grade student at the same school, was also killed in the attack. Arina was a Taekwondo athlete, a holder of the Poom 1 belt, who traveled from Minab to Bandar Abbas (100km away) for her training sessions with the dream of becoming a champion. Ali did not follow the path of Taekwondo as his sister did, but he shared her home, her school, and finally her fate.
Arina and Ali were taken from a place that should have protected childhood, learning, and growth. One was already walking the path of championship; the other was still quietly growing beside her. Together, they became part of the wound of Minab: two children from one family, two lives burned by war, two names that will remain.
